Yep, it’s time for a caffeine detox!
I know, I know. This whole blog is built around a coffee theme. I’m not happy about it, but it’s time to step away from “the precious” for a few weeks.
Caffeine is a drug. A socially acceptable one for sure but a drug nonetheless. I’ve kind of OD’d on it. I’m up to four BIG (14 oz) cups a day and even that amount has me feeling tired yet sort of wired at the same time.

And a whole lot this…
It’s time to put the coffee cup down and clean out the system.
The next few days will be hard because I’m a “rip the band-aid off in one pull” kinda girl.
Headaches, sleepiness, lack of brain function…..yeah, it’s gonna be fun. Detoxing off caffeine is much harder than simply cutting back but I can tell my body needs a full break.
In a few weeks, 1-2 cups of coffee will be like jet fuel for my brain again.
Herbal tea anyone?
