Last month, I was watching the Today Show and caught a segment featuring James Denton (he played Mike Delfino on Desperate Housewives). I miss that show so much and was curious to see what he had been up to since the series finale. The segment was not at all what I expected. James wasn’t discussing his newest TV role, instead he discussed how he had lost his mother to breast cancer. In addition he and his wife recently moved to help take care of his sister-in-law who is currently battling the disease. To say that breast cancer has affected him deeply would be a huge understatement.
Last month, I wrote about Ford’s Warriors In Pink program. The great thing about Ford is that fighting breast cancer isn’t just an October project for them…it’s a year round commitment. Ford Warriors in Pink® debuted a limited-edition T-shirt inspired by actor James Denton that is now available at www.fordcares.com, with all proceeds from sales benefiting the Pink Fund.
The Pink Fund is an organization that provides short-term financial aid to people during active treatment – giving them time to fight, heal and get back on their feet.The limited-edition T-shirt, along with the full 2012 Warriors in Pink collection, is now available at www.fordcares.com, with 100 percent of net proceeds going directly to the fight against breast cancer.
James Denton talks about his involvement in this short video:
The dark gray, V-neck T-shirt inspired by Denton showcases symbols of a warrior and illustrates the fight that it takes to battle the disease.
“The burden of a cancer diagnosis is devastating, not only physically and emotionally, but financially. Every day, countless patients and their families struggle to make ends meet as medical, car, household and other bills pile up,” said Pink Fund founder Molly MacDonald. “We’re excited about this collaboration with James and Warriors in Pink on this limited-edition T-shirt, as it will allow us to reach even more people in need.”

Honestly, I really don’t miss DH that much. I enjoyed the first couple seasons and then only watched it for Jamie.

Amazing how he turned negative into positive. And I miss Desperate Housewives so much. no more sunday night drama. lol
co-star Felicity Huffman also does a lot for breastcancer. Amazing they both do that and amazing how Felicity portayed a women with cancer in Desperate Housewives. They are good people. I really, really miss that show. one of the best dramas around.
