I couldn’t think of a good post title today…so just sit back for some random hodge podge. Oddly, my spellchecker thinks neither hodge nor podge are words. That seems odd because I use those words all the time. Anyway, I digress….on to the random stuff.
The best news of all…..we sold our old house!!! Our realtor called us at nearly 10:00 p.m. Monday night with an offer. We countered, it was accepted, and we all joined Balki Bartakomous in the dance of joy. Happy times! True, we lost more money on that house than the cost of a Toyota Camry but the important thing is that we sold it and moved into our dream home. Onward and upward!
In other news, it’s day 10 of my tonsillectomy recovery and I still feel like this guy because sleep is near impossible and it hurts to drink as much coffee as my body requires. Oh, and this soft food diet of mostly carbs? Let’s just say I’m retaining water…at least I hope so because my pants…they are tight.
I did manage to leave the house yesterday and go to Target. I’m trying to rebuild some strength in my noodle legs and I figured holding on to a shopping cart was a good way to go. Mr. Coffee mentioned that Target is always the first place I go after I recover from surgery or illness. It’s my happy place, what can I say. I didn’t buy much but I did get the girls a new Wii dance game featuring the music of ABBA. My mother kept the girls much of the past week and addicted them to ABBA’s 70′s Swedish pop sounds.
I hope by this weekend, I’m up to going to the movies. The girls have seen Madagascar 1 and 2 and are dying to see Madagascar 3. The afro circus commercials make me insane but in case you are wondering….there is an iPhone app for that.

I need to get out of this bed. My brain, my blog, my diet…..it’s all turning to mush.
