I Will Walk 500 Miles

Two more days! Two more days!

We moved our moving day up to Friday morning so all this waiting will be over in just two more days! Ok, I haven’t really noticed the waiting that much. Since getting the keys on Sunday, we have worked diligently every minute we could. Mr. Coffee got the yard in good shape before lots of rain hit town this week. I’ve hauled 4,000 boxes over and unpacked most of them in the kitchen and closets. We’ve called on utilities, insurance, and of course INTERNET so that I won’t be without you lovely friends for more than a couple of days.

I still need to take proper pictures but I snapped this one late yesterday with my phone. Except for hauling over our coffee pot and a few straggling dishes, the kitchen is completely unpacked and ready to cook. The thing is, it’s so clean and pretty I hate to mess it up!!

On the fitness front, I’m getting plenty of exercise this week. Even though I’m no longer officially wearing my BodyMedia FIT (the challenge ended last week), I still love it and plan to continue using it. That said, it got temporarily lost behind a moving box and I haven’t worn it for a few days. I really wish I had it on the 12 hours I worked on Sunday because that was a marathon cleaning/moving day. I did put it on first thing yesterday morning and wore it all day. When I plugged it in last night, I really didn’t think I had moved that much.

I WALKED 5 MILES YESTERDAY. Oh, and it was probably the least I’ve moved since Sunday. No wonder my feet and legs are tired! It got that Proclaimers song from Benny and Joon stuck in my head. I’m pretty sure that by the end of this coming weekend, 500 miles is totally possible.

Today, the girls and I will start packing toys and then we’re taking the afternoon off from all this packing stuff. The kids have been very patient with all of it but they need some time to think about something else!

I will be without internet tomorrow while it gets switched to the new house. Friday is the big move so Mr. Coffee might not have our router and such set up until the weekend. So, if I disappear for a few days it’s because of that. I’ll catch you guys on the flip side and we can “move” past all this moving stuff.
